I am a fan of those peach aircrafts. Their DHL website www.dhl.com does not show any of their network.
Anybody knows where the hubs and mini-hubs are around the world?
I appreciate if someone logs in example routes from a hub or a mini-hub and the type of aircraft used with matching picture of the aircraft.

Doing a little digging, I have found that DHL has a fleet of...
5 A300, 9 DC-8, and 27 727 for a total fleet of 41 planes.
Mixed with Airborne Express the total fleet is
21 B767-200, 5 B767-200ER, 4 B767-200F, 21 DC-8-60, 26 DC-9-30, 28 DC-9-40, 5 A300, and 27 B727 for a total fleet of 137 planes.
DHL was founded in 1969 by Adrian Dalsey, Larry Hillblom and Robert Lynn in San Francisco. Taking the last letter of each last name they got DHL.
Hubs include,
Brussels, Bahrain, Wilmington Air Park, Panama City, and East Midlands.
Brussels is a hub for European Air Transport, using Boeing 757SF/PF and Airbus A300B4 aircraft.
Bahrain is a hub for SNAS/DHL. They use a variaty of props and regionals, reaching such places as Iraq and Afghanistan.
East Midlands is a hub for DHL AIR LTD. They fly European routes using Boeing 757SF's.
Panama City is the hub for DHL Aero Expreso, S.A. They fly Central and South American routes using Boeing 727's.
Wilmington Air Park in Wilmington, Ohio is the hub for AStar Air Cargo. Formally known as DHL Airways, they fly the US routes using the A300B4(F), DC-8-70, and B.727-200(F)'s.
Hope all this info helps.

DHL has a number of airlines operating flights on its behalf.
In the US, ABX Air (ABX) and Astar Air (DHL) operate DHL's flights out of ABX's hub at ILN. ABX Air flights are operated by DC9s and 767s, Astar Air uses a mix of 727, A300 and DC8 aircraft. Routes go out from ILN to every major city in the US and Canada. Astar also operates a few transcontinental flights for DHL. Smaller cities are served by a number of independent feeder carriers using mostly turboprops.
There is a secondary hub in MIA to transfer packages with DHL Panama (DAE) and DHL Guatemala (JOS) which operate a mini-hub from their respective home bases (PTY/GUA) to other countries close by.
Another secondary hub in JFK is the transit point for shipments between the US and Europe. Gemini Air Cargo (GCO) has a contract to fly DHL packages between BRU and JFK. Lufthansa Cargo (LH) has the contract linking CGN, EMA and JFK (but I think LH has it subcontracted to Gemini). Flights are operated by MD-11s.
BRU is DHL's largest hub outside of the US. Much like ILN, BRU connects to all major European cities (except the ones close enough for RFS service such as AMS or PAR). Flights are operated by European Air Transport (BCS). Apparently, BCS is also operating the flights out of the EMA hub nowadays. It used to be DHL Air (DHK), which makes me wonder what that particular carrier does now. BCS' fleet is essentially 757s and A300s.
A feeder hub is located at VIT where planes from Southern France, Portugal, Spain and North Africa connect with flights to BRU, CGN and EMA. I believe a similar hub is still in operation at CPH.
DHL International (DHX) connects BRU with DXB, DHL's hub in the Middle East, and it also operates flights across the region. DHX's fleet includes its own 727s and A300s leased from BCS.
DHL has signed a cooperation agreement with Cathay Pacific (CX) in Asia. DHL and CX co-own Air Hong Kong (AHK), which flies out of HKG to the main Asian capitals using new A300 freighters. Other Asian cities are served via the cargo space in CX' passenger flights. CX also runs a daily 747-400F flight between HKG, DXB and BRU to connect the three DHL hubs (the flights also carry general cargo however, not just DHL's).
Finally, DHL has a number of affiliates and subsidiaries operating regional or point-to-point services without DHL-operated connections to any hub. These services exist either because passenger flights on the route do not operate at a convenient schedule to carry DHL's freight, or because they do not exist at all. Examples include DHL Aviation (DHV) which covers South Africa and Asian Express Airlines (AXF) which operates a nightly roundtrip between SYD and AKL using a 727. There are also several small carriers in Africa using a mix of ATRs and Cessnas but I don't remember their names or routes.
The one area that I know nothing about is South America. I don't know whether DHL has affiliated/subsidiary carriers in the region as well or uses existing flights to move its shipments.
In 2008, the BRU hub will be so scaled down as to be almost closed and its operations will be transferred to LEI. I'm guessing that the CX, GCO and DHX flights will also land at LEI instead of BRU.
[Sorry if I use ICAO codes iso IATA for most DHL carriers, this is how I know them by]

Actually, the site chopped off a lot of them. Here is the full list. It is a quote from above, so I dont know why they were chopped off.

I used to see their planes all the time in CLE, but none lately. A flight listing for LCK, their home base, doesn't include any for Air Tahoma. I'm afraid they're gone.

I called their number. The number is still valid. I am not too sure what is up. I will keep digging.

DHL is not US company anymore. It is owned by Deutsche Post (German Post Office Group) and by German Banks.

Deutsche Post owns 100% of DHL Worldwide Express. DHL Worldwide Express owns, in turn, a number of subsidiaries providing services for the DHL network, such as European Air Transport or DHL International.
Deutsche Post is a public company traded on the Frankfurt stock exchange, and some of its shareholders are indeed banks.

Quoting Airbuseric (Reply 11): DHL operates a single weekly flight LHR-AMS-LHR on A300F aircraft.
LHR could be considered a DHL mini hub but I believe all their services to and from LHR are operated for and on behalf of British Airways World Cargo. Indeed all BA's dedicated European freighter operations are flown, I believe by DHL. You can find a timetable at: http://www.baworldcargo.com/schedule/europeanschedule/code/index.html
Be a little careful because some intra-European flights are operated by long haul (747) aircraft. For example a flight to Southern Africa from STN visits Portugal on the way 'home'. Similarly some flights to the Far East call at FRA while FRA is also a starting point for some flights to North America via the UK.
These long haul flights are operated for BA World Cargo by GSS with a dedicasted fleet of three 744Fs plus (currently) a 742F leased in from their US affiliate, Atlas Air. GSS's business is 100% providing BA World Cargo with cargo flights and their main hub is STN. All aircraft fly in GSS - or Atlas - livery with 'Operated for British Airways World Cargo' nose titles. All of the DHL aircraft are non-dedicated and operate in standard DHL livery.

Well, from that view point 99.9% of all public companies are at least partially owned by banks or to use the more appropriate term: Institutional investors.
I wonder what strategy is better. As FedEx or UPS do, namely to operate the vast lion share of all flight with their own airplanes, or what DHL, TNT and all the smaller companies do: Hiring most transport services from inndependent or partially indeopendent companies?
BTW. LH Cargo is also a big in business with DHL ...

it ha been said that DHL is owned by Deutsche Post AG, which, trades on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, is open to imnvestors from all over the world. Deutsche Post has its company HQ in Bonn, Germany. DHL has a big HQ (EMA) operation in Diegem a suburb of Brussels.
An mini hub is operated in CGN as well and once the operations are transferred from BRU to LEJ we will see what activities remain there, as well as in Brussels.
