Why Not More Smaller Aircraft On Long Flights?

BA/Bmed, Aloha Airlines and Air Pacific are doing it and it seems to work, so will it be feasible for more airlines to operate their 737 and A320 family fleets on 7-8 hour long journeys, with an enroute stop ofcourse.

One Hypothetical example say Asiana Airlines flying an A321 Seoul-Yangon-Karachi, lets say that a market exists for the service to support the A321 but not the 767-300.

Well one reason could be the cost as each time you land an aircraft you pay fees for take off and landings, also fees to service the aircraft.

Cargo is often the key determinent though eg heavies going into Baghdad will probabarly have quite low load factors but good cargo loads+yields.
