Hi fellow enthusist,

I am currently stuck in the middle of the road wondering if I should continue my eduaction twoards being a pilot, first off I have enjoyed aviation since I was a kid and almoast cant go a week without FS9 or this website. I currently am taking some written ground school courses and really enjoyed them I just feel it may not be right for me, reason being I want to have a family and get married within the next few years but I dont know how pilots deal in this situation? What is schedualing like for union vs. non union and what type of roundtrip jobs are there meaning IAD one day back home the next morning then off again to another city. I have read stuff online but want to know from a true commercial pilots perspective, all advice needed and if possible future contacts so I can truley decide whether this is the career for me.

Here's my perspective: fly for fun if you want to, but find another career as fast as you possibly can.

And here is my opinion! I love being a pilot! I enjoy it everytime! Sure, it's exhausting with the time difference and with the night flights and not being at home so often! But then being all over the world, seeing something, doing something is just great! I DO NOT want to do any other job! I would always do it again!

If it ain't Boeing (or McDonnell Douglas), I am not going.
