Give Midwest a try. They're constantly being voted as being one of the best US airlines. Non-stop service would be great, and you'd hopefully get it with a smile. Let us know how it is!

They don't have PTVs, by the way, but why would you need them on such a short flight? Just bring your iPod.

Depends on how much you want to pay. If I'm correct, isn't Midwest on of the more expensive airlines to fly. I say go with CO out of EWR if its cheaper, if not, DEFINITELY fly Midwest.
Right now, an AA MD-80 is on approach over my house.

YX is the only non-stop service LGA-MCI. 717 - 2-2 seating, with buy on board food and movie players with credit card payment. CO has non-stop to MCI with regional jet service. No non-stop from JFK. All the other major carriers serve MCI from NYC but with hub connections, of course.
