Hey guys,
I'm still trying to crack the database for the first time, and wanted to know what you guys' thoughts were on this one. I took it last August, on a turn to final for 18R at KDFW. I really like it.
(I have a fair amount of wing views in the database...)
To be honest, I find the motive a little bit uninteresting. I don't see anything interesting in the ground nor the sky (e.g. nice clouds). The wing itself does look a little overexposed and is it a reflection on the window I see (top-middle)?

I am not the best when it comes to photos. I think the picture would've been a lot more interesting in a left turn when you actually can see more of the ground or more clouds. The way it is, it's just a usual wing view. That doesn't mean that it doesn't have a chance to be accepted. As Tony said, it looks a little overexposed, maybe you can darken it a bit and then give it a try...
Good luck to you!

If it ain't Boeing (or McDonnell Douglas), I am not going.

Wing shots by themselves are pretty boring. It helps to have something interesting in the background. Any interesting landscape feature or cloud formation or another aircraft or just unusual lighting can make all the difference.

Quoting Cabillon (Reply 3): Wing shots by themselves are pretty boring.
In particular, I personally had a hard time getting nice shots of an MD-80 wing, as it's very plain (no winglet, no engine to make it look more interesting) and you really need something nice beyond it to make the picture more interesting. Same with the baby Embraer wings...

Hey guys, sorry to resurrect another thread, but I got a wing view that I think is even better than this one, albeit with a Super 80. The CB behind is absolutely stunning. This photo is completely unedited, as of right now, but just wanted to know what y'all think.

I think that Longhornmaniac's wingview is interesting enough because it shows the extended wing flaps and the plane is in a turn. Yes, it would add something if there were weather, another plane, or a dramatic skyline in the view but for a wingview, it's fine. The one with the CB is also nice.
