Hello world!

Have a question..., in FSX, do you guys know how to enable the View mode - Eyepoint (up and down) when using the Cockpit view? In FS2004 we were able to change our view, which helped for the landings to see the runway better. Now for FSX, unless we use the Virtual Cockpit, I can't find the way to "raise my seat up" using the Cockpit View mode.

Any help would be well appreciated.

Regards,

Hello 777!

I use FSX from over 1 year and I guess there's no way to "raise the seat up" using 2D cockpit. That's sad.

Best regards,

Yes there is. Ctrl-Shift-Q and Shift-Q (or Ctrl-Q - can't remember) will raise and lower the seat in the 2-D cockpit.

Edit: Ah... it's Shift-Q

The feature was disabled/removed in FSX. You can only move the view point in 3D cockpit now. The only way you could change it would to change the eye point in the aircrafts panal.cfg file. But unless you know how to work with the .cfg files your most likely out of luck.

No, Ctrl-Shift-Q and Ctrl-Q were "added" in FSX (I'm going back to Ctrl-Q, having just tried it), in that the control was the same in 2-D and VC cockpits in FS9 (Ctrl-Enter and Ctrl-Backspace?). It also works differently by being progressive - you need to press the keys for a second or two and the movement gets faster the longer you press them. Why don't you try it?

GOT IT WORKING! Thank you very much "David L." I've had FSX since day 1 when it was released, and barely use it mostly due to this issue. Time to enjoy FSX now.  Wink

THANK YOU!!
