Woohoo, that was a smooth landing at Inchon 15R with a lot of fog down to 300ft.
But, is it possible that ATC is giving descend clearance from cruise altitude a bit late?
I was given permission to FL250 from cruise at 320 ca. 85 miles outbound. Further down I began to descend with 3000ft/min and later to establish on the glide slope I had to go down to 4000ft/min to get my 744 to the ILS.

I just started my round the world flight, so I have you all beaten to the ground
Cessna 172, 600 mile range I got from Liverpool, through Belgium, Germany, Denmark, Poland, down to Italy through eastern Europe, Crete, Cyprus, Syria, Iran, Iraq, Afganistan, Pakistan and now i'm heading from Mumbai to the bottom of India, across to Sri Lanka then up the Indian coast on the other side. Eventually i'll hit Oz, down the west coast, along the bottom then up the east, back into Asia then up to Alaska. Probably then down the west coast right the way down to Chile, across to the Falklands then down into Antartica then back up the eastern coast, through the Caribbean, eastern US seaboard, across the atlantic back to Liverpool.
Unfortunately, I didn't plan it that well and I missed Africa totally
I'd post the Great Circle Mapper link but it's on my desktop.
If homosexuality is a disease, let's all call in queer to work. Sorry, can't work today, still queer.
That's my route so far. Nearly 21000 miles and not even half way home yet . Soon I'm going to fly up through North Korea, then Russia to Dutch Harbour eventually, etc etc. Currently I'm in Seoul, and about to head into the unknown . Only one airport in NK so I hope I don't run out of fuel. It says 600 mile range but i did an 850 mile leg, just have to use the mixture wisely and don't hammer everywhere at 100% throttle.

I've only done one long haul flight mostly because I don't have the time and because trying to save a flight crashes the game. It was FRA-IAD with the default 744. I also tried doing LHR-JFK, but the save crashed.

Quoting Bbinn333 (Reply 4): I just started my first one too !
I am flying JFK- LHR In A 747 !
I did my first one a while back with the PMDG 747-400 (RR). I flew the exact same route as QF6008 (QF first A380 delivery flight from WSSS-YSSY).
The flight was pretty much flawless - though I had no way of matching the real A380's climb performance. Where the A380 was stepping to 39,000ft, I could barely make 38,000ft, with opt. altitude at 34,600ft.
